Cancer's Source of Energy

We grow up being admonished not to eat too much sugar because sugar is not good for our teeth. As we grow older, we are aware of our weight and either eat sweets to gain weight, or at least think about avoiding them in order to lose weight. Some people also have to regulate their sugar intake because they have diabetes or chose to do so because diabetes runs in their family and they hope to avoid it. Never do we hear, don’t eat sugar because you might get cancer and the sugar would enhance its growth.

This last may take you a little bit by surprise, whoever heard of such a thing, yet sugar "fuels" cancer cells just like gas fuels automobiles and electricity fuels our light bulbs and is, in my opinion, the number one reason if we are going to use sugar, to use it in reasonable amounts and to maintain a healthy diet.

Sugar suppresses the immune system as well as feeding the cancer cells. Some scientific studies indicate that the intake of sugar into your body actually enhances the risk of cancer over ten thousand times. It suppresses the immune system so that one is more apt to contract cancer, then once the cancer is in the body, the sugar feeds the cancer cells so that they are stronger than the other cells in the body. Sugar and the consumption of refined carbohydrates aid cancer cells in a large number of various kinds of cancer, amongst them lung cancer, gastric cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostrate cancer, colon cancer and breast cancer.

You might want to consider putting yourself and your family on a healthy meal plan now. Fight cancer before you have it, just as you lock the doors of your home against burglars before they come to steal from you.

You can get natural sugar from certain fruits. You don’t have to go without sugar, just change your source and quite possibly the amount that you use.

Talk to your doctor or a nutritionist and ask them to recommend a healthy life style of eating. Learn how to read the labels on packaged foods so that you can know if they contain refined sugar or not.

Colonel John McCarthy said some years ago "The best defense is a good offensive." Set up a good offensive in your body as a defense against cancer. Don’t wait for cancer to attack you, set up a brick wall against it now.

Refined sugar may be sweet in taste but what it sets you up for in the way of cancer and other health problems is anything but sweet. Be your own best friend. Fight cancer before it begins to fight you.
